CoveKinloch New Zealand Ltd were given the opportunity by developer Mark Sandstad to provide the fire engineering design for a proposed new 40.5m high, landmark building. This high-rise will stand atop of 270-278 Broadway in central Newmarket and is in the final stages of development.

This exciting project is being created by the architect Joe Zhou of OZAC Design Ltd using a modern method design, adding a contemporary twist to the existing art deco building. The present 1929 heritage building façade on the ground level and first floor will remain, in contrast to the modern addition. At street level the building will be comprised of four designer retail units with the nine levels above containing sixty three, upmarket serviced apartments.
